Can an emergency dentist get rid of my tooth abscess?

Yes, our emergency dentist office can find the site of infection and remove it. We recommend that you visit our emergency dentist office as soon as you notice any swelling or pus since this is a common sign of an abscess. If the problem remains untreated, you could face many detrimental problems to other areas of your health that stem from a tooth abscess, including bone loss. In fact, if you let an abscess remain in your mouth, the discomfort could be incredibly strong, and as the infection spreads, it could even hinder your ability to breathe comfortably.  A severe dental infection should never be allowed to get to this point.  We offer dental care outside of normal business hours so that it never has to.  As soon as you experience discomfort or notice the signs of an abscess give us a call.  In many cases, we will need to remove the tooth and drain the infection.  Afterwards, we can discuss options for tooth replacement like placing a dental implant.  Immediately, however, you will begin to experience relief.

Can an emergency dentist relieve my toothache?

We have the ability to relieve discomfort and to find the root of your toothache problem. You may have unknown decay in your tooth that is causing your toothache. There are multiple reasons for a toothache including a bad infection or a severely damaged tooth.  In some case, the infection has destroyed the tooth, making it uncomfortable to eat or brush teeth.  Teeth that are cracked or chipped can also create a severe toothache.  Depending on the condition of your tooth, you may need to have an extraction though it is sometimes possible to save it. We will let you know what your options are after completing an examination.

Can you replace my tooth?

Yes, if your tooth falls out, is knocked out, or needs to be extracted, we can replace it with a dental implant.  We are experts at placing implants as a permanent way to replace missing teeth. To start the procedure, we implant a metal post under the gums and secure it to the jawbone.  Once in place, the metal and bone will fuse together to create a durable new root system than a tooth can be secured to.  This makes implants natural looking and the most durable solution available.

As an emergency dentist, we are available to you whenever you need a hand. If you have any of these questions or problems, we can answer your questions and treat your teeth.
